Recommendation of the Week: Twin Galaxxies - Pink Secrets

Ambient within the context of vaporwave has the distinct potential to weave together consumer cultural nostalgia and formlessness. Twin Galaxxies’ new album, Pink Secrets, does this with a rare level of curation and focus. The album is a whirling slideshow of shuffled soundscapes with lush analog synths, detuned vocal samples, oscillating bells, distant string plucks and more, all making a romantic cyber-delia that might be avant grade in structure but totally emotional  in its feeling. Pink Secrets shows that even subconscious vaporwave can be warm and inviting while still being otherworldly and mysterious.
